This year we, the Thiensville-Mequon Lions, are having our 17th annual golf outing at the Mequon golf extravaganza also known as The Missing Links. They have an awesome par-3 course, a new 18 hole mini-golf and a high-end driving range… it’s like a super-cool drive-in golf resort you can enjoy right here in Mequon.
For only $50 per person, you will enjoy an afternoon of massive fun combined with that warm fuzzy that comes from being part of a group that gives back 100% to our local community.
We plan to have 96 golfers play from 10am to 2pm. They will play a 9 hole scramble, where all players hit, but the best ball is used. While this is a walking-only event, the good news is that the course is short. Bad news? There is none unless you fear losing a few balls.
To make this event family-fun, we are having a mini-golf tournament that will run Thursday through Saturday. Anyone who can swing a putter can play and while scorecards are to be turned in, this is non-competitive. All players will be entered into a contest to win something at the boogie-woogie after-party.

What also makes Missing Links awesome… FootGolf! Ball kickers will go the entire 9 holes using no hands, except when teeing off. Each hole, which is located near the real greens, is designed to perfectly fit a soccer ball.
We are inviting ball strikers of all ages, from 8 to 80, to team-up to compete in a FootGolf scramble. Same format as for the other golfers, but there will only be two players per team. Aside from using your foot, all other rules are the same. By foot or club, it takes about 90 minutes to finish nine holes.
We plan to recruit high school soccer players, but anyone who likes to kick a ball is invited.
We will cover the entry fee for student foot golfers and will provide prizes for top 3 places. All we ask is that they use social media to promote the event.
After the event, we will have a fun awards gathering, along with delicious grilled delicacies and chilled beverages.
