On April 28th, the Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club held its Annual Parade of Checks at Mequon’s Rotary Park. After a wonderful dinner, we proudly distributed over $104,000 in donations to deserving and grateful organizations. It was truly the best day to be a Lion!
The T-M Lions Club donates 100% of the proceeds from our fundraisers to numerous local charitable and community causes, as well as to Lions-specific projects such as Leader Dogs for the Blind, Wisconsin Lions Camp, and the Eye Bank Project, just to name a few.
Our major fundraiser, Lionfest, was held this year on June 13-15 at Thiensville Village Park.
At this year’s Parade of Checks, we were honored to receive the 2025 Advocate of Sight Award from Don Drew, Chairman of the Board for the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin!
We also enjoyed an engaging presentation from Milwaukee journalist Joyce Garbaciak, who shared highlights from her recent mission trip to Peru, where she assisted with vision screening and the fitting and distribution of your donated glasses.
